For an Eviction Writ, the Court Officer is allowed to serve the writ personally or post the writ on the door. Our Court Officer leaves a notice encouraging the tenant to contact us within 24 hours of receiving the notice. By opening up communication with the tenant, the Court Officer urges the tenant to move out on their own within a relatively quick amount of time. Once the Court Officer has an idea of what the tenant is going to do, communication is established with the landlord so the process can go smoothly.
